I'm at a really difficult place right now. My hair is full of knots and it looks nothing like the pretty head of natural hair that you see on other websites. Don't know if just being "natural" is enough to justify this

im feeling soooo frusturated with my hair also maybe we should do braids it is raining here and that would give me a chance of rest and relaxation when it comes to the hair
It sounds like you are going through a difficult period right now. Hang in there though because your hair will continue to evolve and hopefully soon you'll be able to look back and realize just how far you have actually come.
Its hard maintaing natural hair. Its a like a job in itself. I'm wearing cornrow/protective styles M-F. It helps take my mind off of my hair- I'm trying to lesson its percentage of my life that it takes up. I hope u can come to a point or routine that is not 2 complicated for u. :o)
