What am I thinking

02.01.10
Okay, so I think I was just really feeling down when I went to the salon and was ridiculed for being natural and I felt like I didn't know what to do. Then, I read all the fab comments from you great guys, and remembered I'm eight months in the game. I love that my hair is different, unique, and nothing like it. So, I did a twistout. Got my *mystery product*- promise i'll post today/tomorrow what it is, got my contracts book, and got to twisting. I think the results speak for themselves yall. I received more compliments in the past few hours than the total month of wearing my weave. All my friends (who are mostly caucasian) keep telling me they love my hair like this better, and they wish they could do all the funky things that I can! I even put in a feather headband. Now, that I have all this hair I am really going to try to start accessorizing it. But, I absolutely love this look! Boo hasn't seen it yet, but I don't care whether or not he likes it. After fluffing it this morning I couldn't help but say Damn, this looks good! And my roomie was freaking out about how I look like a little movie start today. Sometimes, outside factors can get us well at least me down, but I gotta keep my head up. When you project a positive image ppl will have no choice but to perceive you that way as well. LOOK at those curls. Tell me you don't see the POP!

Lookin' good, chica! Any professional who thinks natural hair is hard to manage is a do do. Perhaps a little training and experience would open their eyes to a new revenue stream, but that's probably too much to ask. Keep doin' you, girl.

Hey there, Your twistout looks great. For optimum results, be sure to use a leave in conditioner under your moisturizer. For length retention be sure to seal your ends. Try castor oil. Also, use castor oil on your scalp twice a week to enhance growth. My no fail twist method included aloe vera gel, which moisturized and softened and I always twist in the same direction (to the right for me) no matter which section of hair I'm working with. Also, I comb each section gently with a rat tail comb to smooth, defrizz and detangle and continue to smooth and stretch the hair with my fingers while twisting. It gets easier every time. ;-)

Ohh look how much your hair has grown! I wanted to write earlier but I was at wrk and didn't have time but I'm glad you decided on the twistout. And I am *secretly* glad you decided to rock ur real hair. Its gotten long! I think our hair is about the same length and this is def the first month that I've been able to go outside with a twistout and feel good about it.

I'm really happy that things are picking up. Keep practicing on your twistouts and you will be an expert in no time. I put a vid on my blog with tips if it helps.

Great job with ur hair, love the curls. ;o)
